Group President

Dato’ Lim Hui Boon, the founder and the key driver of the success of Ho Wah Genting Group Sdn Bhd possesses vast experience in the travel and entertainment, transportation and capital finance markets. Dato Lim kick started his career in Genting Highlands by promoting tours and travels to the entertainment hub of Malaysia for more than 35 years. With his hard work and determination, he developed a close relationship with the founder of Genting Group, the late Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong.

Dato’ Lim Hui Boon is the Group President of Ho Wah Genting Group Sdn Bhd. Dato’ Lim has more than 30 years of experience in a diversified range of businesses such as hospitality, gaming operations, resorts, transportation services, travel and tours, and e-commerce. Dato’ Lim was designated as the Group President to the Board of Ho Wah Genting Berhad on 14 June 2011. He is the founder of Ho Wah Genting Berhad and has been at the helm of Ho Wah Genting Bhd Group since its inception in 1979.

Serene stands strong with a formidable aptitude for handling overall group operations and possess a good understanding of the business and travel landscape of the growing industry.

In the position of Manager to the Group President’s office, she was involved in numerous new business development projects and also supporting the resources planning, budgets and allocations of the business. Under the Ho Wah Genting Group, she implemented new policies for the HR department and assisted in hiring key employees for the organization.

With her vast experience, Serene will manage a number of departments which will add to the customer experience, ensuring a smooth sales process and be handling the expansion operations and growth of the local and South East Asian region.

Serene also attended her Masters of Business Administration under the University of Southern Queensland’s programme in 2008.
